      1. It is optional to apply the materials in the subsequent list as indicators to show if threaded fasteners loosen after installation. It is approved to use these materials on engine exterior parts that are metallic.

        NOTE

        After you apply the specified torque to a nut and bolt, you can apply the material across the joint between the nut and the bolt. The material will crack or break at the joint if the nut or bolt turns relative to the other after the material cures.
