DO NOT USE THIS PROCESS ON ALUMINUM, CARBON SEALS OR ENGINE BEARINGS.
CAUTION
DO NOT IMMERSE INSULATED TUBES.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE THIS PROCEDURE ON TUBES WITH ALUMINUM FITTINGS.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE A METAL BRUSH TO CLEAN TUBE BORES. WIRE BRUSHING CAN CAUSE SCRATCHES THAT ROUGHEN THIS SURFACE AND INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF COKE FORMATION. SCRATCHES CAN ALSO CAUSE CRACKS TO FORM, WHICH CAN CAUSE TUBE FAILURE.NOTE
This process is approved for use on steel, nickel, cobalt and titanium.Mask or plug the part, if necessary.
NOTE
For carbon removal from tubes/jet bores, pump the gel into the tubes; use a suitable squeeze bottle and/or hose.Apply CoMat 01-455 ALKALINE GEL CARBON REMOVER or CoMat 01-456 ALKALINE GEL CARBON REMOVER (as received, 100 percent by volume, at ambient temperature) to the part.
