  1. TASK 70-13-00-130-501 General Data On Ultrasonic Cleaning

    1. General

      Ultrasonic cleaning is the procedure to clean the surface of a component with the use of sonic waves.

      Because sonic waves can damage the components the maximum procedure times, given in the SPM TASK 70-13-01-100-501, must always be obeyed.

      The strength of the sonic waves, when applicable, is given in the manufacturer's instructions for the use of sonic equipment.

      If necessary, the IAE representative can give more data on ultrasonic cleaning.
