WARNING
AT THE SOLUTION OPERATING TEMPERATURE, CARBONATION OF THE SOLUTION OCCURS, WHICH CAUSES SLUDGE TO COLLECT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SOLUTION TANK. IT IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE THIS SLUDGE AT FREQUENT INTERVALS TO DECREASE THE RISK OF EXPLOSION.This is an aqueous solution of CoMat 01-042 CONDITIONER. The solution tank must be a stainless steel tank that has stainless steel heater coils on the side or sides of the tank and an exhaust system to remove fumes. The heater coils must not be on the bottom of the tank.
Carefully fill the tank to the operating volume with CoMat 01-042A CONDITIONER.
Increase the temperature of the solution to 190 deg F to 210 deg F (125 deg C to 140 deg C).
Procedure for CoMat 01-042A CONDITIONER:
Fill the tank to approximately two thirds of the operating volume with clean, cold water.
Slowly and carefully add the necessary amount of CoMat 01-042B CONDITIONER to get a concentration of approximately 5.0 lb/gal (600 g/l). Use mechanical agitation or air agitation to constantly mix the solution while you add the CoMat 01-042B CONDITIONER.
Carefully add water to fill the tank to the operating volume.
Increase the temperature of the solution to 190 deg F to 210 deg F (88 deg C to 89 deg C).
Procedure for CoMat 01-042B CONDITIONER:
Fill the tank to approximately two thirds of the operating volume with clean, cold water.
Slowly and carefully add the necessary amount of CoMat 01-042C CONDITIONER to get a concentration of 760 g/l to 775 g/l. Use mechanical agitation or air agitation to constantly mix the solution while you add the CoMat 01-042C CONDITIONER.
Carefully add water to fill the tank to the operating volume.
Increase the temperature of the solution to 284 deg F to 293 deg F (140 deg C to 145 deg C).
Procedure for CoMat 01-042C CONDITIONER:
Carefully fill the tank to the operating volume with CoMat 01-042D CONDITIONER.
Increase the temperature of the solution to approximately 194 deg F (90 deg C).
Procedure for CoMat 01-042D CONDITIONER:
Use the applicable procedure in the subsequent list to make the solution. Do not mix one CoMat 01-042 letter suffix alternative material with a different CoMat 01-042 letter suffix material.
Make-up the Conditioner Solution.
Use the manufacturer's instructions to do the control and maintenance of the solution.
Do not mix one CoMat 01-042 letter suffix alternative material with a different CoMat 01-042 letter suffix material.
