Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-12-350-001 Remove and Fit Replacement Captive Nuts

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. With the use of a hand grinder remove rivets. Prevent damage to the component when the rivets are removed.

    4. Put a bolt through the component and attach the nut in the correct position.

    5. Attach the retaining plate with a clamp.

    6. Drill holes in the retaining plate aligned with holes in the component.

    7. Drill larger holes for larger rivets, if required.

    8. Fit new rivets.

    9. Remove retaining bolt and examine nut position.

    2. Penetrant crack test to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
