WARNING
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OPERATOR TO OBTAIN AND OBSERVE THE MANUFACTURERS MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS FOR CONSUMABLE MATERIALS INFORMATION SUCH AS, HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS, PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS, FIRE, EXPLOSION, REACTIVITY, HEALTH HAZARD DATA, PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, USE AND CONTROL MEASURES AND ALSO TO TAKE LOCAL REGULATIONS INTO CONSIDERATION.
Procedure

CAUTION
THE WELD JOINT IS BRITTLE AS WELDED. THE PART MUST BE HANDLED CAREFULLY AND KEPT CLEAN AND DRY UNTIL STRESS-RELIEVED/TEMPERED TO PREVENT CRACKING. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT SUBSEQUENT STRESS-RELIEF/TEMPERING BE DONE WITHIN 24 HOURS WITH LESS THAN 12 HOURS PREFERRED.NOTE
To minimize distortion, temperatures can be increased and decreased slowly as in the SPM TASK 70-37-07-370-501. Other cycles are permitted if the necessary stress-relief of 1000 to 1030 deg F (538 to 554 deg C) for two hours is done.Increase the temperature of the parts to 1000 to 1030 deg F (538 to 554 deg C) and hold for two hours. Air, CoMat 03-010 ARGON GAS or CoMat 03-117 ARGON GAS or CoMat 03-118 ARGON GAS or vacuum atmospheres can be used for titanium and titanium alloys. Temperature increase and decrease rates are optional.
