Procedure
Increase the temperature of the part to 1775 to 1825 deg F (968 to 996 deg C) and hold for one hour. Air is a permitted atmosphere. The use of CoMat 03-010 ARGON GAS or CoMat 03-117 ARGON GAS or CoMat 03-118 ARGON GAS or CoMat 03-138 HYDROGEN GAS (PROTECTIVE ATMOSPHERE) or a vacuum atmosphere can prevent surface oxidation and alloy loss. The increase in temperature rate is optional.
