WARNING

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OERATOR TO OBTAIN AND OBSERVE THE MANUFACTURES MATERIAL SAFETY SHEETS FROM THE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS INFORMATION SUCH AS HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS, PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS, FIRE, EXPLOSION, REACTIVITY, HEALTH HAZARD DATA, PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, USE AND CONTROL MEASURES AND ALSO TO TAKE LOCAL REGULATIONS INTO CONSIDERATION.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 70-37-27-370-001 Procedure

      1. General.

      2. Precipitation heat treatment of material is done after all high temperature processing (such as, coating, brazing or transient liquid phase bonding or similar processing).

      3. Precipitation heat treatment is designed to promote the precipitation of one or more phases to make the mechanical properties of the material most effective.

      1. Atmosphere.

      2. Air, vacuum, argon, helium or hydrogen is an acceptable atmophere.

    2. Minimum average cooling rate is 10 deg F (6 deg C)/minute to 1200 deg F (649 deg C).

    3. Temperature and Time Requirements (unless specified differently) are given in Table 1.
