Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 70-37-33-370-001 Procedure

    1. Increase the temperature of the part to 1950 to 2000 deg F (1066 to 1093 deg C ) and hold for one hour. CoMat 03-010 ARGON GAS standard purity, CoMat 03-120 HELIUM GAS, CoMat 03-138 HYDROGEN GAS (PROTECTIVE ATMOSPHERE), argon or helium + hydrogen, or a vacuum is an acceptable atmosphere. Heating rate is optional.

    2. Decrease the temperature of the part at a rate of 35 deg F (19 deg C)/minute or faster to 1000 deg F (538 deg C). Subsequent cooling rate is optional. For a vacuum, it is permitted to decrease the temperature by back-filling with either argon or helium.
