TASK 70-55-00-550-501 Storage - General Information
General
Examine the Engine/Module before installation in the applicable storage equipment. Make sure all the drain plugs are reinstalled and are safetied with lockwire. Reinstall all removed lines and torque the attached parts to the necessary values.
Seal all component openings with the correct size plug or cap and cover all drive and bleed openings with the supplied covers.
Spray all power transmitting components, such as splines, with the applicable engine oil lubricant before covering.
Inspection of Storage Devices
Before installation of the Engine/Module into a storage device, the device must be fully inspected. Make sure that the container, trailer, engine adaptors and all other equipment is there, is clean and has no structural or mechanical damage. Make sure all connection points are there and correctly attached. Only serviceable and storage devices that have all their parts, as applicable, must be used for storage of Engines/ Modules.
