Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 24-21-43-820-001 Calibration Procedures for Test Equipment

    2. All test equipment used must have a valid National Standards Calibration Certificate.

    1. SUBTASK 24-21-43-750-001 Do a Test to Find the Insulation Resistance Value of the IDG Cable Assembly

    2. Set the supply voltage to be 250 volts DC, on the Megger Insulation Resistance Tester - BMM80, 250 Volts (200 Gohms) or equivalent.

    3. Connect the Megger Insulation Resistance Tester - BMM80, 250 Volts (200 Gohms) or equivalent test leads, between the connector body and each pin of the connector.

    4. Make a note of the resistance values.

      1. If the resistance values are not between the limits, reject the harness. The limits are as follows:

      2. Pin to Earth - The insulation resistance should be 20 megohms minimum.

    1. SUBTASK 24-21-43-750-002 Do a Test for Continuity of the IDG Cable Assembly

    2. Set the Multimeter to the continuity setting.

    3. Connect the Multimeter test leads to the contacts at the ends of each wire.

    4. Make sure that the Multimeter shows continuity. If the Multimeter shows no continuity, reject the harness.

    5. Do Step and Step for all wires in the cable assembly.
