This TASK gives the procedure to clean the I.D.G. power cables.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 24-21-43-110-051 Clean the I.D.G. Power Cables

      WARNING

      PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND A FACE MASK WHEN YOU USE THIS CLEANING AGENT. DO NOT GET THE CLEANING AGENT ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. USE THE CLEANING AGENT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. IF YOU GET THE CLEANING AGENT ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
      BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND GOGGLES. MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS ARE AT A SAFE DISTANCE.

    1. Remove any adhesive marking tape from the I.D.G. power cables.

      2. Wipe the surface of the IDG power cables.

      3. Clean the terminal ends of the IDG power cables.

      4. Remove the cleaning agent and make the IDG power cables dry.

      1. Use clean dry compressed air.
