  1. TASK 71-00-00-990-504 Engine Definitions

    1. Spareable Engine

      1. The spareable engine is a complete modular engine, as purchased from International Aero Engines A.G., including some essential non-modular items.

    2. Testable Engine

      1. The testable engine is a Spareable engine that has these items installed to permit the engine to be tested.

    3. EBU (Engine Build-up Unit) Engine

      1. The EBU'd engine is an engine which includes all the items installed on a testable engine with more items installed as follows:

        IDG QAD coupling (24-21-41)

        Accessory zone fire detector (26-12-15)

        Core zone fire detector (26-12-17)

        Core overheat detector (26-12-19)

        Hydraulic pressure switch (29-11-17)
