This TASK gives the procedure to clean the engine mount bolts and nuts.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK number are in the SPM.

All Fig/item numbers in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

    1. SUBTASK 71-00-20-110-051 Clean the Engine Mount Bolts/Nuts

      1. WARNING

        WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES WHEN YOU USE DEGREASERS.
        USE DEGREASERS ONLY IN AREAS WITH GOOD VENTILATION.
        DEGREASERS ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE, KEEP AWAY FROM IGNITION SOURCES.

        CAUTION

        DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS TO CLEAN THE BOLTS/NUTS. ABRASIVE CLEANERS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOLTS/NUTS.

        CAUTION

        USE ONLY COMAT 01-002 TRICHLOROETHANE TO CLEAN THE BOLTS/NUTS OTHER CLEANERS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOLTS/NUTS.

        Clean.

      2. Dry.

        1. Air dry.

        1. Air dry in a clean, dry environment.
