Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-21-11-120-051 Abrasive Blast the Thrust Mount Bracket

      1. Apply the masking tape.

        1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        2. Apply the masking tape to the area which is not to be given a layer of the dry film lubricant.

      2. Abrasive blast.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        2. Use an air pressure of 40 psi (275 Kpa).

    3. Remove the masking tape.

      4. Remove the abrasive grit.

        1. Use a dry blast or a soft brush.

        1. Use a vacuum assisted brush to make sure all the grits are removed.

      5. Remove the grease with liquid.

        1. Use a clean cloth which is moist with degreasing fluid and make clean the coating area.

    2. SUBTASK 71-21-11-380-051 Apply the Dry Film Lubricant to the Thrust Mount Bracket

      2. Apply the dry film lubricant.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        2. The thickness of the dry film lubricant is to be 0.0001 to 0.0003 in. (0.003 to 0.008 mm).

    3. Remove the masking tape.

      4. Stove the thrust mount bracket assembly.

      1. Stove for two hours between 365 and 383 deg F (185 and 195 deg C).

      5. Examine the layer of the dry film lubricant.

        1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

        1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    3. Figure: Apply the dry film lubricant to the area and location of No. 2 strut thrust mount bracket assembly
