This TASK gives the procedure to clean the EEC and ignition supply harness.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the Primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-51-42-110-051 Clean the EEC and Ignition Supply Harness

    1. WARNING

      PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND A FACE MASK WHEN YOU USE THIS CLEANING AGENT. DO NOT GET THE CLEANING AGENT ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. USE THE CLEANING AGENT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. IF YOU GET THE CLEANING AGENT ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

      WARNING

      BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND GOGGLES. MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS ARE AT A SAFE DISTANCE.

      Remove any marking tape from the EEC and ignition harness.

      2. Wipe the surface of the EEC and ignition harness cables

      3. Clean the terminal ends of the EEC and ignition harness

      4. Remove the cleaning agent and make the EEC and ignition harness dry

      1. Use clean dry compressed air.
