General

This harness can be stored for long periods of time if the temperature and the humidity are controlled. Do not let the harness be open to very high or low temperatures and humidity conditions. Store the harness between 4.5 and 37.5 deg C (40 and 100 deg F). At regular times do a test on the harness insulation, refer to TASK 71-51-43-700-301.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-51-43-550-051 Prepare the General Services Harness for Storage

    2. Make sure that blanking caps are installed to the electrical connectors.

    3. Wind the harness into coils to make it smaller, hold the coils together with a tie.

    4. Put the harness and the CoMat 12-022 DESICCANT SELF INDICATING in to a container made of CoMat 12-004 P.V.C. SHEET.

    5. Seal the container with the CoMat 02-005 ADHESIVE TAPE (MASKING).
