Refer to Figure.
Remove safety lockwire from the backshells.
Loosen the screws on the backshell clamp.
Loosen the backshell clamp.

CAUTION
DO NOT CUT THE INDIVIDUAL SHIELD.Remove the ground ring.
If necessary use Glenair TG69 pliers.
Loosen the backshell nut
SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-051 Disassemble Backshells
Remove contacts (pin and sockets) from connectors.
SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-052 Remove Pin and Sockets from Connectors
Cut off contacts from cable.
SUBTASK 71-52-45-350-053 Remove Bent Contacts from Cables
Refer to Figure.
Using a cable stripping tool, remove cable insulation to expose 0.25 in. (6.4 mm) for contact size 16 and 0.19 in. (4.8 mm) for contact size 20.
Remove cable insulation.
Use a Crimping tool and locator. Install the conductor into the contact bucket until it bottoms or is visible in the inspection hole.

Install unused contacts into spare holes in connectors.
Install sealing plugs to spare holes containing unused contacts.
