General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts and parts with an interference fit. Let the parts soak before removal.

Remove and discard the lockwire before the parts are disconnected or removed.

NOTE

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-71-42-040-051-A00 Remove the Drains Mast (Pre SBE 72-0193)

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    2. Disconnect the nine drain tubes at the connections on the collector plate assembly (01-050).

    3. Remove the four bolts (01-020) from the drains mast (01-010).

    4. Remove the drains mast (01-010) and the collector plate assembly (01-050).

    2. SUBTASK 71-71-42-040-051-B00 Remove the Drains Mast (SBE 72-0193)

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    2. Remove the drains mast (01-010) from the collector plate assembly (01-050) with the use of a non-metallic scraper.

    3. Remove the old jointing compound from the mating surfaces on the drains mast (01-010) and the mating surfaces on the collector plate (01-050) with the use of a non metallic scraper and a clean lint free cloth made moist with CoMat 01-076 METHYL ETHYL KETONE. Remove all traces of old jointing compound.
