Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-73-49-790-051 Do the Leak Test on the Oil Weep Tube Assembly

    2. Connect a Dry compressed air supply to the tube.

    3. Put the tube in to a tank of water and pressurize to 14.5 psi (100 kPa).

    4. Hold the pressure for a minimum of one minute while you examine the tube for signs of leakage, specially at swaged, brazed, welded or repaired areas.

    5. Disconnect the air supply from the tube and remove the tube from the tank.

    6. Dry the tube with dry warm air.

    2. Put the applicable covers on all openings of the tube and keep it in a clean container to prevent contamination.
