General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the EIPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the EIPC.

Apply CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts and parts which an interference fit. Let the parts soak before removal.

Discard the seal rings and packing removed in this procedure.

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

WARNING

DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. FLUSH THE OIL FROM YOUR SKIN WITH WATER. THE OIL IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND IN TO YOUR BODY.

CAUTION

DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN CLOTH. THE OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME ENGINE PARTS.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-32-040-066 Remove the Scavenge Filter Differential Pressure Switch (SFDP)

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010).

    4. Hold the unions OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-009) with an applicable wrench and disconnect the oil tubes from the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010).

    5. Hold the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010) and remove the three bolts OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-020). Remove the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010) from the engine.

    6. Remove the unions OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-009) and the seal rings OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-007) from the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010).

    7. Put the blanking caps on the oil tubes, the electrical connector, the electrical receptacle and the SFDP OIL-SCAVENGE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCH (79-35-16, 01-010).
