General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the front pin. For the other parts of the external gearbox module, refer to TASK 72-00-60-100-000.

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK number are in the SPM.

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-00-60-110-057 Remove the Grease

      1. Put the part in to a Basket.

      1. Use an applicable fixture.

      2. Remove the grease.

      1. Use CoMat 01-001 SOLVENT, DELETED. Put in to the fluid for 5 to 10 minutes.

    2. SUBTASK 72-00-60-110-002 Remove the Rust and Scale

      1. Remove the rust. Refer to TASK 70-11-15-300-503.

      1. Follow the cautions in the SPM TASK.

      2. NOTE

        Do this SUBTASK again if the rust and scale can still be seen.

        Remove the scale. Refer to TASK 70-11-15-300-503.

      1. Follow the cautions in the SPM TASK.
