Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-31-12-350-053 Remove the Rear Ramp and Plate Washer

      1. Remove the rear ramp.

      1. Refer to VRS1164, TASK 72-31-12-300-009 (REPAIR-009).

      2. Remove the plate washer.

      1. Refer to VRS1159, TASK 72-31-12-300-008 (REPAIR-008).

    2. SUBTASK 72-31-12-110-052 Remove the Dry Film Lubricant

      1. Remove the dry film lubricant.

      1. Refer to TASK 72-31-12-100-000 (CLEANING-000) for the applicable cleaning TASK.

    3. SUBTASK 72-31-12-110-053 Remove the Remaining Adhesive

      1. Remove the remaining adhesive.

      1. Refer to TASK 72-31-12-100-000 (CLEANING-000) for the applicable cleaning TASK.

    4. SUBTASK 72-31-12-380-052 Apply the Dry Film Lubricant to the Stage 1 Fan Disk Assembly

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Remove the grease with fluid.

      1. Use a clean cloth which is moist with degreasing fluid and clean the coating area.

      3. Apply the masking tape.

      1. Apply the masking tape to surfaces marked AE, DQ, and AB.

      3. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

      4. Apply the dry film lubricant.

      1. Apply three coats of dry film lubricant to a total thickness of 0.001 to 0.002 in. (0.025 to 0.051 mm) to surfaces marked BJ.

      2. Apply 2 coats of dry film lubricant to a total thickness of 0.00031 to 0.0011 in. (0.008 to 0.030 mm) to surfaces marked DP.

      3. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

    5. Remove the masking tape.

      6. Stove the stage 1 fan disk.

      1. Stove for two hours between 365 to 383 deg F (185 to 195 deg C).

      2. Use an applicable oven.

      7. Examine the layer of dry film lubricant.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501.

      8. Vibro engrave VRS1154 adjacent to the part number.

      1. Raised metal and burrs produced by marking must be removed.

    5. SUBTASK 72-31-12-360-051 Assemble the Rear Ramp and Plate Washer to the Stage 1 Fan Disk Assembly

      1. Bond the rear ramp to the stage 1 fan disk assembly.

      1. Refer to VRS1164, TASK 72-31-12-300-009 (REPAIR-009).

      2. Bond the plate washer to the stage 1 fan disk.

      1. Refer to VRS1159, TASK 72-31-12-300-008 (REPAIR-008).
