Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-00-350-059 Remove the Defective Locating Pins from the Bracket Assembly

      1. Inspect and identify defective locating pins.

      1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. Press out defective locating pins.

        1. Use hand tools.

        1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      3. Examine for damage in the bores.

        1. Scratches are permitted but remove raised metal.

        1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.

      4. Dimensionally inspect the pin holes.

        1. Ensure correct interference.

        1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-00-230-051 Examine the Bracket Assembly for Cracks

      1. Fluorescent penetrant examine the pin holes.

        1. Make sure there are no cracks in the pin holes.

        1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-00-380-052 Install the New Locating Pins

      1. Clean the locating pins and the pin holes.

      1. Use clean dry air blast or CoMat 02-099 LINT-FREE CLOTH.

      2. Freeze the locating pins.

        1. Freeze the locating pin to aid replacement into pin hole.

      3. Install and press the locating pins into the holes.

      1. Use hand tools.

      2. Refer to Figure and Figure.

    4. SUBTASK 72-32-00-350-060 Examine the Pin Seating

      1. Visually examine the pin seating.

        1. Pin shoulder must be located against flange face.

        1. Refer to Figure and Figure.
