Grind off the chromium plating to 4.39 in. (111.7 mm) diameter. Keep material removal to a minimum.
SUBTASK 72-32-19-330-051 Machine Worn Diameter D1
NOTE
If the surface has been previously repaired using chromium plate, remove old plating completely.Refer to the SPM TASK 70-33-02-330-501.
Heat treat the part for one hour at 374 to 410 deg F (190 to 210 deg C).
SUBTASK 72-32-19-370-051 Relieve the Hydraulic Ring after Plate Stripping
No cracks permitted.
Refer to TASK 72-32-19-200-003 (INSPECTION-003, CONFIG-001).
Magnetic particle examine the repaired area.
SUBTASK 72-32-19-240-053 Examine the Hydraulic Ring for Cracks

Clean the part.

Remove the grease.

Etch and wash the part.

Immerse the part in a standard chromium plating solution for sufficient time to achieve the diameter 4.42 in. (112.2 mm) minimum.
