General

Discard all rubber seal rings, cotter pins and seal washers removed in this procedure.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-41-040-001 Disassemble the No. 1 Bearing Support Assembly (01-240)

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the four screws (01-250), nuts (01-255) and washers (01-260) from the No. 1 bearing support assembly.

      3. Use the four puller bolts (part of IAE 1J12188 Puller bolt 1 off) to release the No. 1 bearing front support assembly (01-300) from the No. 1 bearing rear support assembly (01-400).

      1. Install the four puller bolts in to the four threaded holes in the No. 1 bearing front support assembly rear flange.

      2. Tighten the four puller bolts equally until the No. 1 bearing front support assembly is released from the No. 1 bearing rear support assembly.

      3. Remove the puller bolts from the threaded holes in the No. 1 bearing front support assembly rear flange.

    4. Lift and remove the No. 1 bearing front support assembly from the No. 1 bearing rear support assembly. Put the No. 1 bearing front support assembly on to the work bench with rear end up.

    5. Remove the o-ring (01-270) from the groove in the No. 1 bearing rear support assembly and discard it.
