Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-41-350-055 Remove Damaged Bracket

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Drill and remove the manufactured head of the rivets.

      1. Use a punch and 0.116 in. (2.95 mm) diameter drill.

      3. Remove the rivets.

      1. Use a punch and a mallet.

    4. Remove the bracket.

      5. Clean the rivet holes of No. 1 bearing support.

      1. Use a soft clean cloth and air blast.

      6. Visually examine the rivet holes.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-41-350-056 Install New Bracket

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Fit and retain new bracket to the No. 1 bearing support.

      1. NOTE

        Make sure that bracket is retained correctly.

        Use sheet fastener.

      3. Install and make a head on one rivet.

    4. Remove the sheet fastener.

      5. Install and make a head on the remaining rivet.

      1. NOTE

        Make sure that bracket is installed satisfactorily.

      6. Visually examine rivets for cracks and damage.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-41-380-053 Touch Up the Damaged Paint of the No. 1 Bearing Support (01-240)

      1. Touch up the paint.

      1. Refer to the VRS1267, TASK 72-32-41-300-004 (REPAIR-004).
