Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-41-350-075 Remove the Damaged Bracket

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Drill and remove the manufactured heads of the rivets.

      1. Use a punch and 0.116 in. (2.95 mm) diameter drill.

      3. Remove the rivets.

      1. Use a punch and mallet.

    4. Remove the bracket.

      5. Clean the rivet holes of the No. 1 bearing support assembly.

      1. Use a soft clean cloth and air blast.

      6. Visually examine the rivet holes.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-41-350-076 Install the New Bracket

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Install and retain the new bracket to the No. 1 bearing support assembly.

      1. Use sheet fastener.

        NOTE

        Make sure that the bracket is retained correctly.

      3. Install and upset one rivet.

    4. Remove the sheet fastener.

      5. Install and upset rivet to the remaining rivet hole.

      1. NOTE

        Make sure that the bracket is installed satisfactorily.

      6. Visually examine the rivets for crack and damage.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.
