Use portable grinding equipment, abrasive stone or CoMat 05-019 WATERPROOF SILICON CARBIDE and/or fine file. The surface finish of the repair must be the same as the adjacent area. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-03-300-501.
Scallop, make smooth and/or hand polish to remove the nicks and/or scratches.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-350-069 Remove the Damage of the Upper Power Arm
Use a 10x magnifying glass. Refer to TASK 72-32-71-200-000 (INSPECTION-000).
Visually examine the repaired area for nicks, galls, scores and/or pick-up.
Visually examine the repaired area.
SUBTASK 72-32-71-220-131 Examine the Upper Power Arm
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501. No cracks are permitted.
Do a penetrant crack test on the repaired area.
