Primer must not be applied on the silicone rubber.
Refer to Figure.
Apply CoMat 08-032 PRIMER with clean brush or lint free cloth on the metal surface only.
NOTE
Permit primer to dry at room temperature for 2 hours minimum, 24 hours maximum at moisture level equivalent to 50 percent minimum relative humidity at 77 deg F (25 deg C).NOTE
Parts shall have CoMat 08-042 SILICONE RUBBER COMPOUND applied within 24 hours of completion of primer application.Apply the primer to bond surfaces.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-380-051 Apply the Primer
Use CoMat 08-042 SILICONE RUBBER COMPOUND and precision weighing scale.
NOTE
The working life of the mixed silicone rubber is maximum three hours at room temperature.Measure out materials by weight as follows: 9.5 to 10.5 parts rubber 0.8 to 1.2 parts curing agent.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-360-051 Mixing Instruction
Use IAE 3J13151 Depth gage 1 off, IAE 3J13152 Shape gage 1 off and IAE 3J13153 Fillet former 1 off.
For arrange the silicone rubber contour.
Fill the gaps with mixed silicone rubber.
