CAUTION
TITANIUM COMPONENTS.SILICON CARBIDE TYPE WHEELS, STONES AND ABRASIVE PAPERS ARE TO BE USED FOR THIS REPAIR.ALUMINIUM OXIDE TYPES MUST NOT BE USED.THE MATERIAL WILL OXIDIZE AND CRACK IF MECHANICAL CUTTERS ARE USED HEAVILY. THIS HAS OCCURRED IF THE COMPONENT SHOWS DARK STRAW TO BLUE DISCOLORATION. IF AT ANY TIME THIS COLORATION OCCURS THE COMPONENT MUST BE REJECTED.Dress to remove damage in the disc surface and the spigot diameter except knife edge seals, dovetail slots, oil drain holes and bolt holes.

The maximum blend limits is 0.004 in. (0.10 mm) in depth.
Blend the dressed area and polish out scores.
SUBTASK 72-32-81-350-056 Dress to Remove Damage

Use chemical cleaning equipment.
Chemically clean.

Swab etch the repair area(s).
SUBTASK 72-32-81-110-056 Do a Swab Etch
Make sure there are no cracks in the repaired area.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-04-230-501 or TASK 70-23-05-230-501. Use CoMat 06-022 FLUORESCENT PENETRANT (POST-EMULSIFIED ULTRA HIGH SENSITIVITY).
Pentrant crack test the dressed area.
SUBTASK 72-32-81-230-056 Examine the Disc for Cracks
Use 10X magnifying glass.
Refer to the SPM TASK 72-32-81-200-001-B00.
Visually examine the repaired area for nicks, scratches and/or other damage.
Do a visual inspection.
