Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-42-11-320-087 Blend Repair the Damaged Area

    1. Refer to Figure, Figure and Figure.

      2. Do a blend repair on the damaged area.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-21-350-501.

        Maximum blend depth limit is 0.010 in. (0.25 mm) below wall minimum. Refer to Figure and Figure.

        Only one blend is permitted for each side.

        Where possible, make sure there is a 10:1 width-to-depth ratio.

        NOTE

        Keep the material removal to the minimum necessary to remove the damage.

    2. SUBTASK 72-42-11-220-110 Post Repair Inspection of the Internal Cavities of the Strut

      1. Do a visual inspection of the blend repaired areas.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.

        After the blend repair, the surface must be as smooth as the initial surface. Edges and corners are not permitted.
