Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-42-32-330-051 Remove the Silver Plate from the Threads of the Bearing Retaining Nut

      1. Remove the silver plate from the threads of the retaining nut.

      1. Refer to Figure and the SPM TASK 70-33-55-330-501.

    2. SUBTASK 72-42-32-330-052 Apply the Silver Plate to the Threads of the Bearing Retaining Nut

      1. Apply the silver plate to the threads of the retaining nut.

      1. Apply silver plate between 0.0003 and 0.0006 in. (0.0077 and 0.0152 mm) in thickness.

        Refer to Figure and the SPM TASK 70-33-26-330-501.

    3. SUBTASK 72-42-32-220-053 Examine the Bearing Retaining Nut

      1. Examine the retaining nut after the silver plate.

      1. Refer to Figure.

    4. SUBTASK 72-42-32-350-053 Identify the Repair

      1. Make a mark VRS3079 adjacent to the part number.

      1. Make a permanent mark by SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
