General

Remove and discard the lockwire before parts are disconnected or removed.

Discard all rubber seal rings, cotter pins and seal washers removed in this procedure.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-42-33-040-051 Disassemble the No. 4 Bearing Front Seal Assembly

    1. Refer to: Figure

    2. Remove the cover from the No. 4 bearing front seal assembly.

    3. Put the No. 4 bearing front seal assembly on a bench so that the seal face is up.

    4. Make the cotter pins straight on the ends where they were bent.

    5. Remove the cotter pins with a cotter pin extractor.

    6. Remove the collars from the pins.

    7. Remove the No. 4 bearing face seal assembly from the No. 4 bearing seal support assembly.

    8. Remove the seal ring from the No. 4 bearing seal support assembly.
