TASK 72-42-40-300-006 HPC Exit Guide Vane Stator - Repair Damaged Vane(s) By Replacement, Repair-006 (VRS6640)
General
This Repair must only be done when the instruction to do so in given in TASK 72-42-40 INSPECTION
This Repair repairs damaged HP Compressor OGV Assemblies - Stage 12, by vane replacement, using donor vanes from scrap Stage 12 assemblies of known history, and subject to satisfactory dimensional and NDT inspection
To keep the HP Compressor efficiency, Stage 12 OGV Assemblies are repaired as near to the new OGV condition as possible
This Repair is limited to the replacement of a maximum of 28 vanes in any combination of 1, 2, 3 or 4 vane blocks providing no more than 10 blocks are replaced
This is a Source Demonstration Repair which can only be done by approved vendors
