Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-42-60-040-051 Remove the Combustion Chamber Liner Segments from the ID of the Outer Combustion Chamber Liner

      NOTE

      Mark the segments with CoMat 02-081 PENCIL - METAL MARKING(HARD) as they are removed so that they can be reassembled in their original positions.
      If a segment in Row 1 is obstructed by the bulkhead segment, refer to Repair VRS3092 TASK 72-42-61-300-004.

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Use IAE 3P16240 Igniter guide segment wrench 1 off to loosen the nuts at the igniter guides. Use IAE 3P16241 Ratchet wrench 1 off to loosen the nuts at all other locations.

    3. Remove the 10 washers (1), the 40 washers (3) and the 50 nuts (2) from the studs that attach the liner segments (9 and 10) to the combustion chamber outer liner. Remove the segments. Discard the nuts.

    4. Remove the washers (1 and 3) and the nuts (2) from the segments (6, 8 and 11). Remove the segments. Discard the nuts.

    5. Remove the washers (1 and 3) and the nuts (2) from the segments (7). Remove the segments. Discard the nuts.

    6. Remove the washers (1 and 3) and the nuts (2) from the segments (5). Remove the segments. Discard the nuts.

    7. Remove the washers (1 and 3) and the nuts (2) from the segments (4). Remove the segments. Discard the nuts.
