Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-43-12-325-051 Machine the Inside Diameter of the No. 4 Bearing Seal Spacer

    2. Refer to: Figure

      1. Machine the inside diameter with a lathe to remove wear indications.

      2. NOTE

        You can strip the plating if the inside diameter of the spacer was plated before. Refer to TASK 70-33-06-330-501.

        Machine the diameter to 5.139 to 5.151in. (130.53 to 130.84 mm). Hold to the minimum value. The part must be in a held condition. All dimensions apply when Surface G is flat by 0.001in. (0.025 mm) and Diameter F maintains a clearance envelope of 5.130in. (130.302 mm) in a free or held condition. Hold the spacer only on Surfaces G and H and Diameter F.

      1. Nickel plate the inside diameter.

      2. Refer to TASK 70-33-06-330-501.

        Make sure to apply nickel plate a sufficient thickness to permit finish machining. No overspray is permitted.

      1. Machine the inside diameter with a lathe after nickel plate.

      2. Machine the inside diameter to 5.131 to 5.133in. (130.328 to 130.378 mm) average diameter. The part must be in a held condition. All dimensions apply when Surface G is flat by 0.001in. (0.025 mm) and Diameter F maintains a clearance envelope of 5.130in. (130.302 mm) in a free or held condition. Hold the spacer only on Surfaces G and H and Diameter F.
