Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-44-10-440-051 Install the Stage 1 HPT Seal

    1. WARNING

      WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES WHEN YOU INSTALL THE SEAL TO PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS.

      Refer to Figure

    2. Heat the seal HPT Stage 1 Support Assembly And Support Seal (72-44-10, 01-060) in an oven until the seal temperature is 350 deg F (176.7 deg C).

    3. Position the stage 1 HPT support assembly HPT Stage 1 Support Assembly And Support Seal (72-44-10, 01-010) on a bench with the center flange down.

    4. Remove the seal from the oven.

    5. Install the seal with the small inner diameter down on the support assembly.
