DO NOT REPAIR THE TURBINE HUB LOCK THAT HAS A CRACK OR INDICATION THAT IS NOT THE RESULT OF LOCAL DAMAGE SUCH AS DENTS, NICKS OR SCRATCHES. IF YOU FIND CRACKS OR OTHER UNUSUAL CONDITIONS BY THE PENETRANT TEST OR VISUAL INSPECTION, YOU MUST REJECT THE PART.
Procedure
Break edges 0.003 to 0.015 in. (0.08 to 0.38 mm). Use a file, CoMat 05-106 ABRASIVE STONE, CoMat 05-148 STONE, WHITE ARKANSAS (HARD) or CoMat 05-143 STONE, BROWN INDIA (MEDIUM).
All areas must be blended smoothly to remove only sharp edges or raised material.
