Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-45-00-350-058 remove the Worn or Damaged Stage 2 HPT Air Seal Metering Plug

      1. Remove the worn or damaged metering plug with your hand.

      1. Refer to Figure.

    2. SUBTASK 72-45-00-220-121 Examine the Metering Plug in the Stage 2 HPT Air Seal

      1. Examine the metering plug hole for galling.

      1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Surface damage not more than 0.001 in. (0.025 mm) is permitted without repair.

    3. SUBTASK 72-45-00-350-059 Install the New Stage 2 HPT Air Seal Metering Plug

      1. Install the new metering plug with your hand.

      1. Refer to Figure.

    4. SUBTASK 72-45-00-220-122 Examine the Repair

      1. Examine the new metering plug.

      1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Make sure you installed the metering plug correctly as shown in the figure.

      3. The metering plug is acceptable if you cannot remove the plug with your hand.
