Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-45-23-350-058 Replace the Damaged, Worn or Bent Pin of the Stage 1 HPT Duct Segment

    1. Refer to: Figure

      NOTE

      Cast to size segments have a cast-in or integral anti-rotation feature (no pressed-in pin) and are not eligible for this repair.

      2. Drill out and remove damaged, worn or bent pin(s).

      1. Refer to Figure.

        Be careful not to damage the pin hole.

    3. Choose replacement pin that provides a 0.0001 to 0.0015 in. (0.00254 to 0.0381 mm) interference fit with existing hole.

      4. Install replacement pin.

        Make sure the pin is flush or below adjacent material.

    2. SUBTASK 72-45-23-230-063 Fluorescent Penetrant Inspect the Stage 1 HPT Duct Segment after Pin Installation

      1. Do a fluorescent penetrant inspection of the repair area for cracks.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-02-230-501.

        No cracks permitted.
