Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-21-350-055 General Instructions for the Blend Repair of the Heatshields (01-300, 01-350, 01-380, 01-430 and 01-460)

      NOTE

      Keep material removal to the minimum to remove damage.

      1. Blend the nicks, dents and burrs.

      1. Use files and stones to blend the heatshields.

      2. Polish the blended areas.

      1. Use fine stones to make the blended surface as smooth as the initial surface. Edges and corners are not permitted.

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-21-350-056 Blend Repair the Heatshields (01-300, 01-350, 01-380, 01-430 and 01-460)

      1. Blend the heatshields.

      1. Remove only material which has been raised above the original surface by nicks and burrs.

        Do not reduce the original thickness of the part by the blend repair.
