Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-24-320-056 Remove the Worn Headless Shoulder Pin

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Hit out lightly the headless shoulder pin.

      1. Use minimum of force to prevent damage of the flange.

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-24-230-097 Examine the Inner Diffuser Support Assembly for Cracks

      1. Do the test for cracks at the adjacent flange area of the hole.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        Use medium sensitivity level.

        No cracks are permitted.

    3. SUBTASK 72-50-24-220-161 Examine the Inner Diffuser Support Assembly for Damage

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Examine the inner diameter of the pin hole.

      1. Fine scratches are permitted.

        Use needle files and stones to remove raised material.

    4. SUBTASK 72-50-24-450-052 Install the New Headless Shoulder Pin

    1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Freeze the headless shoulder pin.

      3. Install the headless shoulder pin into the hole.

      1. Use minimum of force to prevent damage of the flange.

        The shoulder of the headless shoulder pin must touch the flange face.

        Use a hammer.

    5. SUBTASK 72-50-24-220-162 Do the Post Repair Inspection

      1. Examine the installed headless shoulder pin for correct installation.

      1. Make sure that the headless shoulder pin is installed tightly in position.
