Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-32-350-080 Blend Repair the Shroud Notch Radius Cracks of the Stage 3 Turbine Blade

    1. Refer to Figure or Figure.

      NOTE

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-35-21-350-501 for blending surface damage.

      2. Do not change the shroud angles or other shroud dimension by blend repair.

      3. Only one option can be applied to one notch radius.

      4. Do not use rotating handtools.

    2. Blend repair the shroud notches.

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-32-230-070 Examine the Blended Areas for Cracks

      1. Do the test for cracks.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        Use high sensitivity level.

        No cracks are permitted.

    3. SUBTASK 72-50-32-220-102 Do the Post Repair Inspection

    1. Refer to Figure or Figure.

      2. Examine the surface of the blended areas visually.

      1. The blended surface must be as smooth as the initial surface. Edges and corners are not permitted.

    3. Examine the blended areas dimensionally.
