TASK 73-22-34-040-301 EEC Terminal Block Assembly - Disassemble The Block Assembly (01-560) From The Harnesses

General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Special tools are identified in the procedure by the tool primary number.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 73-22-34-040-051 Remove the Terminal Block Assembly (PRE SBE 73-0137)

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. Remove the cover of the terminal block assembly (01-560).

      1. Remove the five screws and the washers which attach the cover to the bracket.

      2. Remove the cover from the bracket.

      3. Remove the terminal block assembly (01-560) from the general services harness (71-51-43,01-005) and the EEC and ignition supply harness (71- 51-42,01-005).

      1. Use the Inserter/extractor tool to remove the seven cables from the terminal blocks TM817 and TM824.

      2. Remove the two screws and the clamp from the backshell.

      3. Remove the adhesive tape from the cables at the clamp position.

      4. Remove the backshell from the terminal block connector.

      5. Remove the harness from the terminal block.

      6. Remove and discard the lacing tape from the screen tails.

      7. Bend the screen tails away from the cables and release the ground ferrule.

      8. Remove the ground ferrule and the backshell from the harness.

    2. SUBTASK 73-22-34-040-052 Remove the Terminal Block Assembly (SBE 73-0137) (PRE SBE 71-0275)

    1. Refer to Figure and Figure.

      2. Remove the cover of the terminal block assembly (01-560).

      1. Remove the five screws and the washers which attach the cover to the bracket.

      2. Remove the cover from the bracket.

      3. Remove the terminal block assembly (01-560) from the general services harness (71-51-43,01-005) and the EEC and ignition supply harness (71- 51-42,01-005).

      1. Use the Inserter/extractor tool to remove the seven cables from the terminal blocks TM81714/3-D-A1 and TM81714/3-D-B1.

      2. Remove the two screws and the clamp from the backshell.

      3. Remove the adhesive tape from the cables at the clamp position.

      4. Remove the backshell from the terminal block connector.

      5. Remove the harness from the terminal block.

      6. Remove and discard the lacing tape from the screen tails.

      7. Bend the screen tails away from the cables and release the ground ferrule.

      8. Remove the ground ferrule and the backshell from the harness.

    3. SUBTASK 73-22-34-040-053 Remove the Terminal Block Assembly (SBE 71-0275)

    1. Refer to Figure, Figure and Figure.

      2. Remove the cover of the terminal block assembly (01-560).

      1. Remove the five screws and the washers which attach the cover to the bracket.

      2. Remove the cover from the bracket.

      3. Remove the terminal block assembly (01-560) from the general services harness (71-51-43,01-005) and the EEC and ignition supply harness (71- 51-42,01-005).

      1. Use the Inserter/extractor tool to remove the seven cables from the terminal blocks TM81714/3-D-A1 and TM81714/3-D-B1.

      2. Remove the lockwire from the two screws at the clamp position.

      3. Remove the two screws and the clamp from the backshell.

      4. Remove the adhesive tape from the cables.

      5. Remove the backshell from the terminal block connector.

      6. Remove the harness from the terminal block.

      7. Remove and discard the lacing tape from the screen tails.

      8. Bend the screen tails away from the cables and release the ground ferrule.

      9. Remove the ground ferrule and the backshell from the harness.
