Refer to Figure.
Use a punch and 0.0781 in. (1.98 mm) diameter drill.
Drill and remove the manufactured head of the rivets.
Use a punch and a mallet.
Remove the rivets
Remove the plate nut.
Use a soft clean cloth and air blast.
Clean the rivet holes of the bracket
Refer to SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.
Visually examine the rivet holes.
SUBTASK 75-24-47-350-058 Remove the Damaged Plate Nut
Refer to Figure.
Use Sheet fastener.
NOTE
Make sure that the plate nut is retained correctly.
Fit and retain the new plate nut to the clip
Use Rivet squeezer.
Install and upset one rivet.
Remove the Sheet fastener.
Use Rivet squeezer.
NOTE
Make sure that the plate nut is installed satisfactorily.
Install and upset the rivet to the remaining rivet hole.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-21-01-220-501.
Visually examine the rivets of the plate nut for cracks and other damage.
