General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts and parts with an interference fit. Let the parts soak before removal.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-48-060-052-A00 Remove the Turbine Case Cooling (TCC) Tube Assemblies (Pre SB 75-0013)

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Carefully pull out the L/H turbine CLG manifold assembly and R/H turbine CLG manifold assembly from the turbine CLG manifold assembly.

    2. SUBTASK 75-24-48-060-052-B00 Remove the Turbine Case Cooling (TCC) Tube Assemblies (SBE 75-0013)
       SB 75-0013: Improvement of locating of HP ACC tubes

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the eight bolts from the turbine CLG manifold assembly.

    3. Carefully pull out the L/H turbine CLG manifold assembly and R/H turbine CLG manifold assembly from the turbine CLG manifold assembly.

    3. SUBTASK 75-24-48-070-052-A00 Remove the Brackets (Pre SBE 75-0013)

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the 24 bolts and the 24 nuts that attach the eight TCC tube assemblies on the six brackets.

    3. Remove the six brackets from the eight TCC tube assemblies.

    4. SUBTASK 75-24-48-070-052-B00 Remove the Brackets (SBE 75-0013)
       SB 75-0013: Improvement of locating of HP ACC tubes

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the 16 bolts and the 16 nuts that attach the eight TCC tube assemblies on the four brackets.

    3. Remove the four brackets from the eight TCC tube assemblies.

    5. SUBTASK 75-24-48-070-053-A00 Remove the Clips (Pre SBE 75-0013)

    1. Refer to Figure.

    2. Remove the 24 clips from the eight TCC tube assemblies.

    3. Remove the two clips from the turbine CLG manifold assembly.

    2. Remove the 16 clips from the eight TCC tube assemblies.
