Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-49-350-073 General Instructions for the Blend Repair

      1. Blend the surface damage.

      1. Use files and stones to blend surface damage.

      2. Polish the blended areas.

      1. Use fine stones to make the blended surface as smooth as the initial surface.

      2. Edges and corners are not permitted.

    2. SUBTASK 75-24-49-350-074 Blend Repair the support Assembly

      NOTE

      Keep material removal to the minimum to remove damage.

      1. Blend repair in area A1.

      1. Refer to Figure and to Figure.

      2. Remove raised material only.

      2. Blend repair in all other areas.

      1. Refer to Figure.

      2. Maximum permitted depth of blend repair is 0.010 in. (0.25 mm).

    3. SUBTASK 75-24-49-230-065 Do the Post Repair Inspection

      1. Visually examine the surface finish.

      1. The surface finish of all repairs must be as smooth as on all adjacent areas.
