CAUTION
TITANIUM COMPONENTYOU MUST USE SILICON CARBIDE TYPE STONES AND ABRASIVE PAPERS TO DRESS, BLEND AND POLISH THIS TITANIUM COMPONENT.DO NOT USE FORCE WITH MECHANICAL CUTTERS OR THE MATERIAL WILL BECOME TOO HOT.IF THE MATERIAL SHOWS A CHANGE IN COLOR TO DARKER THAN A LIGHT STRAW COLOR, THE COMPONENT IS TO BE REJECTED.Refer to Figure.
The maximum depth to remove the damage must not be more than 0.005 in. (0.13 mm).

Remove the damage
Make sure the area is made smooth into the adjacent material. The diameter of the repaired are to be 50 times the depth.
Remove all the sharp edges and sudden changes of the slope.
Make the damaged area smooth.
Polish the repaired area and the area made smooth. Make sure all the scratches are removed and the surface finish is the same as the adjacent.

Make sure all the repaired areas have an equivalent surface finish as the adjacent material.
Make sure the maximum depth of the repaired area is not more than 0.005 in. (0.13 mm).
Do a visual and dimensional inspection.
