Procedure

  1. SUBTASK 77-32-43-750-051 Calibration Procedures for the Test Equipment

    NOTE

Use the manufacturers data to make sure that the test equipment operates satisfactorily.
    1. SUBTASK 77-32-43-750-052 Do the Test to Find the Insulation Resistance Value of the Vibration Harness

    2. Set test voltage is to be 250 Volts DC.

    3. Connect the Megger test leads, between each pin and connector body of the harness. Probes or spring-clips must not be used.

    4. Make a note of the resistance value.

    5. Do Step and Step for each wire in the harness.

      1. If the resistance values are not between the limits, reject the harness. The limits are as follows:

      2. Pin to Ground - the insulation resistance value must be 1000 megohms minimum.

    1. SUBTASK 77-32-43-750-053 Do the Test for Continuity of the Vibration Harness

    2. Connect the Multimeter test leads (part of multimeter) to the pin at each end of the wire. Refer to the wiring diagram TASK 77-32-43-470-001 (assembly Pb1001) for the pin to pin configuration.

    3. Make sure that the Multimeter shows continuity.

    4. Do again Step and Step for each wire in the harness.

    5. If the Multimeter shows no continuity, reject the harness.
